This article, written in 2014, touches on a subject that is fairly new in society. Digital Art. Digital art is a medium of art that is very difficult to fully define, or explain. It's a modern way of creating art using technology. Digital art is a large umbrella that holds things such as video creating, projection, digital drawing, GIFs, and so many more. It is way different than other mediums of art because it isn't a tangible piece that you can hold in your hands like a painting or a sculpture is. It's something that is developed on a piece of technology and displayed through technology. Digital art allows artists to create never seen before pieces that aren't only unique but influential in the future of the art world. NFT sales have been rising for things like music, online textbooks, in-app purchases, games, art, etc. with art, it becomes difficult. For example, Jeff Koons Balloon dog sculpture sold for an extreme amount of money, which is justifiable because it is a tangible sculpture. When Michael Green created the Balloon Dog Deflated GIF and listed it to eBay for a large sum it didn't sell even though it was at least as impressive as the Balloon Dog sculpture. I think it is going to become more and more difficult to be a digital artist because people generally don't think something created and displayed on a screen is as special or amazing as a tangible piece of art.
